Calvary Christian is located in Vista
The Purpose of Calvary Christian School (CCS) is to offer a uniquely Christ based model of education, utilizing as a model the example of Jesus in Luke 2:52. Jesus grew in wisdom, in stature, in favor with God and man. Therefore CCS in all its endeavors is dedicated to seeing our students grow in wisdom (academic growth) in Stature (physical growth), in favor with God, (spiritual growth) and in favor with man (social growth). The school aims to create a learning environment that is challenging, supportive, and dedicated to the total growth of the students it serves. CCS seeks to discover, encourage, and cultivate the gifts each student possesses, to deepen each student’s faith in Christ, and to inspire each student to realize his or her full potential in serving the Lord. Our desire is that our students will garner a passion to impact the world with excellence and to glorify God in every area of their lives, spiritually, physically, academically and socially.

Chapel Program
The first Monday of each month throughout the school year, the students are blessed with a time of worship and guest speakers who challenge them to grow in their faith, knowledge and walk with Jesus Christ. Parents are welcome to attend chapel.
Communication
- To keep parents informed we publish a weekly newsletter. This newsletter is emailed unless otherwise asked to mail a copy home. You can expect to receive it on or before each Wednesday. You can always access this letter on our website as well at ccsvista.org.
- We also keep a line of communication between teachers and parents by facilitating mygradebook.com. Each junior and senior high teacher is required to keep their mygradebook website current for you to be able to track your child’s progress in each class. You are able to track homework assignments as well as quizzes and test. You are also able to email your child’s teacher through this system.
- Teacher’s are also accessible through voicemail; just call the school and you can be given the desired teacher’s voicemail and they will return your call at their earliest convenience.
- We have parent teacher conferences at the end of the first semester. If one is desired before that time you are welcome to request one.
Mom’s In Touch
Once a week we like to come before our Lord in prayer. Each Monday, from 8 AM - 9 AM, you are invited to come pray with our Mom’s In Touch group. We pray for students, staff, and our school. We meet in the Nursery. We hope to see you there. J
Student Council (ASB)
C.C.S. has an associated student body led by high school students elected by their peers. Each classroom (K-12), has a representative that attends meetings and reports back to their class.
